London Snooker has been a family business for 25 years. The Tooting site was built as a billiards club in 1921. It was registered in 1926 as Smith and Gordons billiards room. The famous Jimmy White used to play here as a kid at our Tooting branch. His dad was a Coal man and was always playing here with his mates. Jimmy honed his craft playing with Tony Mayo daily, it was then known as ’Zans’ . Jimmy says that sometimes he left with handfuls of pounds in his pocket from for his winnings.
